How can I properly maintain my vehicle?

Follow the recommend services as outlined in your owner's manual.  Change your vehicle's oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles for regular oil grades, or 6 months or 6,000 miles for synthetic oils.

Can  I prolong the life of my vehicle by following the recommended services?

Absolutely, regular vehicle inspections is key to finding problems when they are small and preventing damage to other components.

Is it really cheaper to do the maintenance rather than address problems as they arise?

Most certainly, many vehicle problems can go unnoticed for lengthy periods of time.  At the point you notice the problem, it could have caused significant damage to components that might otherwise may have been fine.  Damage to safety related items, such as tires, brakes, bearings can also present a hazard to you and others on the road.  When in doubt, always play it safe!

I just bought my vehicle used and I am unsure of the service history, what should I do?

Bring it to Fayette Import or other trusted shop to have the vehicle inspected for any needs or issues that may need to be addressed. 

I am considering purchasing a used car, should I have it inspected before buying it?
